I am married with a wonderful husband the three daughters, ages 19, 21, and 23 and live in South Salem, NY which is about 1 hour North of New York City on the border of Connecticut.
Professionally, I am an educational technology consultant with the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center. I've been working as a technology integration specialist for 15 years starting with my work at the Katonah-Lewisboro School District in 1995. I joined the LHRIC team three years ago and am now privileged to be specializing in distance education and strategic planning at the RIC.
Outside of my family, my passions tend to center around new technologies and the various ways technologies help us to build communities. The expansion of my involvement with the various communities I am part of has been transformative for me and fun! I have been inspired by my work on strategic technology planning with students, teachers, and administrators giving me insight to what kids think about their own sense of community and what part technology has played in that for them.
I am very excited to be a 21st Century Fellow in this Ontario Cohort with my colleague Leslie and to our collective exploration of the impact this approach to 21st century skill emersion will have for students across the region, the cohort and beyond.
